Grade 1 is the first year of formal learning.

The learning activities provide opportunities for practical application of the formal learning areas.  Refer to The National Curriculum for the learning outcomes.

The activities are fun-filled, varied and children explore all their senses in a creative manner.

The program aims to develop a strong set of values and positive behaviour to maximise learning through varied themes important for life.

Have I got the time?

• The required learning time is approximately 50 hours spread out over the year.
• We recommend 15 minutes a day during the week or longer on the weekend or holidays if you have not had time.
• It is important to be flexible to create a stress-free relaxed learning environment.
• The program is not to be seen as extra homework but an experience to be shared in your child's holistic development.
